Aisha has been teaching ISR lessons since 2009. She first learned of ISR when she received an e-mail with a video of a baby falling into a pool and saving himself by rolling onto his back and floating on his own! This video was so touching and brought tears to her eyes even though the baby was safe. She immediately began a search for a ISR
location in Hawaii but discovered that there were no ISR instructors in Hawaii at the time. She strongly felt that Hawaii has to have ISR for the keiki because we are on an island surrounded by water and began to research on how to become a ISR instructor. She later learned that ISR was here in Hawaii training three student instructors. She immediately went to observe lessons and enrolled her youngest of two sons. ISR has made a dramatic difference in her `ohana’s water play time knowing that her keiki were safe in the water!
Aisha was born in Hawaii and grew up in Ewa Beach. She works full-time during the day and teaches ISR in the afternoons/evenings. She is also a mother of two wonderful fun-loving boys! In her spare time she is the team mom for her son’s sports which keeps her quite busy!
Aisha loves & enjoys teaching ISR lessons to the keiki of Hawaii. She feels very rewarded knowing that she is helping the ISR mission of “Not One More Child (Keiki) Drowns”.
ISR Certified Instructors are trained through an extensive 6 week course guided by a Master Instructor, during which time the Instructor is trained and tested in the academic areas of child psychology, behavioral science, physiology, and anatomy. In addition to gaining an academic foundation, Instructors engage in over 40 hours of hands on, in water practical application of the technique.
